On behalf of the Board of Directors, family and friends of Lancelot H.
Owens I thank you for your interest. We appreciate your interest in
learning about one of the country's premier program for assisting high
school students to achieve their dreams.
Our Mission
The Lancelot H. Owens Scholarship Foundation awards renewable
scholarship to outstanding high school students in the New York/New
Jersey area. Our Scholars are academically-talented, highly motivated high school seniors who have demonstrated financial need, social commitment, and leadership potential.
How We Accomplish That Mission
The Foundation awards renewable $1,000 scholarships to its Scholars.
In order to renew their scholarships, our scholars must maintain a B
average, participate in community service activities, and continue to
exemplify the high ideals that earned them the distinction of being a
Scholar. In return, the foundation provides our Scholars with
counselors, mentors, and various enrichment programs. The personal
attention given to our scholars, is the hallmark of our program. And With Whom We Accomplish It
Lancelot H. Owens Scholars are graduates of many of the country's top universities. They have achieved achieved prominence in various professional fields and proudly maintain high ideals of scholarship and the service. In addition to students, every year the Foundation recognizes various community leaders and programs that exemplify the high ideals of service and leadership, for which our Foundation stands for. This recognition is done at our annual banquet, now in its tenth year. Our annual banquet has been honored by the presence of prominent figures in politics, entertainment, and corporate America.
